She used to be a mess,

A beautiful mess,

Dancing like a princess

In a pretty little dress.

Her elegance,

Her essence

Radiating beauty from her eyes’ lens.

Her giggles, her laughs,

Her tears, her little coughs,

Her moves, her steps,

Her twists, her jumps,

And all her happiness

In her triumphs,

Now lay in a still.

Her body now chill,

In a silence so loud,

That her cries were ever heard, I doubt.

They shred her into pieces,

Which are now impossible to Congregate.

Her smile—her armor

Now lay in a devastated state.

For the lifeless body now she is,

The society would call her a disease,

And so, her death was God’s release.

No, my friends,

Her life wasn’t a fiasco,

For she used to be A BEAUTIFUL MESS

In her world of Disco.

“She is delightfully chaotic; a beautiful mess. Loving her is a splendid adventure.”                                                                                         ~~~~~~BY  Steve Maraboli

My take on today’s DAILY PROMPT Congregate

Please share your thoughts on this one. I would love to know what you think about it. If you like it, do check out 2 other POEMS I wrote on HOPES and BELIEFS on my blog and let me know what you think of it. It’s just that sometimes I feel like writing and a poem helps me express way better than a piece of paragraph.

  1. Great piece, I like the way you started this piece with “She used to be a beautiful mess” and how you ended it was great. It really comes together in the end. There is nothing I didn’t love about this piece.

    1. Thanks Shayra. Being in this blogging has not even been a month and such genuine comments really drives me improve myself and keep writing. With all the love and encouragement I’ve received, I surely got a new-found-love for writing once again(after I stopped keeping a journal 3 years back.) Thanks a lot dear, 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 ❤️️❤️️❤️️❤️️❤️️❤️️❤️️

      2. Then may be you should grab Rupi Kaur’s Milk And Honey right away, my current read(been in my TBR for quite sometime). Not that I am some kind of poet or something myself this was probably the 5th or 6th poem I’ve written in my 18 years of life. I prefer passages where I can describe myself well. Poems are a challenge for me and I think and I am enjoying it. 🙂 🙂 Poems from my fellow bloggers are an inspiration too. 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

    1. Glad you could relate. But I’m not very much of an Adele person. My best girlfriend hates me because I couldn’t convince myself to love Hello and Rolling In The Deep. The only song I actually like is Skyfall. Oh and TS? Totally into her!
